Mark Bassett is an amateur photographer who lives in Canberra, Australia. His photographic interests mainly involve people. He creates and edits his own images and he does his own fine art printing. All photographs on this site are his own work.

He has attended workshops conducted by several distinguished photographers including Heide Smith (Canberra), Graham McCarter (Sydney), Murray van der Veer (Sydney), Greg Gorman (USA), Mac Holbert (USA), Les Walkling (Melbourne), Peter Turnley (Paris), David Alan Harvey (New York), Steve McCurry (New York) and Alessio Coghe (Mexico City).

He is a member of PhotoAccess (Canberra), the Australian Centre for Photography (Sydney) and the Centre for Contemporary Photography (Melbourne).
